Aims and Objectives of Manor Housing Association
The Manor housing Association manages Collington House. It is a non-profit making organisation established to provide affordable housing for active
retired people who have lived or worked in Bexhill, but applicants from a wider area are also considered. The Association is run by a committee of volunteers, who are elected by the members annually.
Flats are available for purchase on a loan stock system, i.e. a purchaser will only receive the same amount when selling the flat back to the Association as they paid, regardless of how long they have owned the property.
This enables low prices to be maintained currently between £40,000 and £60,000.
It should be noted that flats cannot be used as security for a mortgage and neither is subletting allowed.
The Association is registered under the Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1965.
